So many overlooks, so little time. I like to get to the top of as many bluffs as I can, which means I have a lot of pictures looking down on the river from points on high. In the next several weeks, I’m going to showcase some of those pictures, a new overlook each week for the next 13 weeks (at least). It’s only fitting to begin at Itasca State Park (Minnesota), where the Mississippi begins. This is a view of the forest around the lake in fall when the tamarack trees were at peak color.
