This song has been my obsession for the past week, so I figured it was time to share it and move on to another one. Louisiana Blue isn’t exactly about the Mississippi River, but the river gets a shout out near the end. I love the way the fiddle is used in this song, and I’m a sucker for the classic country sound. Texas native Radney Foster released Louisiana Blue in 1992 on the CD Del, Rio Texas, 1959, but I’m even more fond of the version he put out last year on Del, Rio Texas Revisited: Unplugged & Lonesome.
