The Song of the Day Department is reaching back a few decades to sample this pop/rock number from New York-based Alive ‘N Kickin’. Mississippi Mud was released in 1970 on the album Alive ‘N Kickin’ and, other than the part of Mississippi mud getting thick, I have no idea what this song is about, but it sure is a catchy tune.
