Horsfall’s Lansing Variety; Lansing, Iowa
If variety is the spice of life, then Horsfall’s Lansing Variety is like cinnamon and cardamom and cumin (plus spices that start with other letters, too) all mashed together and stuffed into a giant cedar closet. If you need it, they probably have 12 of it, and it’s probably down a narrow aisle on the top shelf on the right, behind 23 cases of something else that you probably need, too, you just didn’t know it. If this wasn’t a retail store, the owners might very well be picked for an episode of Hoarders. Thankfully, though, it is a retail store, so you should detour to Lansing and take your time wandering through the aisles and picking through the overstuffed shelves, then follow your trail of bread crumbs to get back to the cashier.
