Spring is now in full flower, and birds and other critters are on the move. One of my favorite spots for river watching this time of year (honestly, the river watching is good any time of year here) is at Potosi Point, a narrow strip of land that extends from the shore through backwaters and toward the main channel. Bring a comfortable chair, your favorite beverage, and prepare to relax. The Point is south of Potosi near the spot where State Highway 133 turns sharply to the west; go forward instead of turning north, go under the railroad trestle, and follow the road for ½ mile until it ends.
